Founded in 1992, Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County is an ecumenical ministry that builds simple, decent and affordable houses with participating families; working with diverse individuals, organizations, and faith communities to serve others.
Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County builds simple, decent, and affordable houses in partnership with income eligible participating families, volunteers, businesses, organizations and faith communities.The houses are then sold to the partnering family at no profit, with zero percent interest loans to make them affordable for people who cannot otherwise afford a house with a conventional mortgage.
Homeownership Applications are accepted twice a year (in the Fall and Winter). Required Homeownership Orientations are held throughout Anderson County whereby interested persons may receive information about our Housing Program as well as an Application for Homeownership.
